our wedding party

so i thought it might be fun to introduce our wedding party...i'll let luke post his side, so enjoy a quick read about the ladies...

maid of honor...kaity childers
my cousin, friend and fellow "pirate hooker". we've never lived in the same state, but have grown very close over the last few years. she's the little sister i never had and we enjoy quoting movies, writing each other obscene text messages, trading bathing suits and talking about men. she's helped me maintain my sanity through this whole crazy thing and i love her dearly. i'm honored, kaity, to call you family, a friend and to have you as well, my maid of honor.
matron of honor...cyndi (coleman) lubben
my best friend since the second grade in mrs. nicholson's class in lemoore, california. it's not very frequent you keep a friend for 20 years, but i'm so very thankful for the chance. we've come a long way from sleepovers (in which i never quite made it through the night), birthday parties, "b-team" basketball, dog shows, trips to the coast, trips to visit each other when i moved, phone conversations, your wedding, your first baby, my upcoming wedding..i love that after 20 years, we both played important parts in each other's weddings. i am honored to call you my friend and to have you as my matron of honor.

bridesmaid...stacey smith
my first close friend at FSU and fellow crappy dorm hallmate. we've been friends since freshman year of college and i know i can always count on her for at least three things. the first is gossip. stacey loves to share a good piece of gossip and i know i can count on her for all the recent scoop. the second is a laugh. she is one of the funniest people i've ever met and i get a good ab workout every conversation we have. the third is friendship. we endured ups (and downs) throughout college but we managed to come out alive and remain close friends, long-distance. i miss you lots, stace, but look forward to sharing my special day with you and am honored to have you as such a special part of it.

bridesmaid...joni garcia
ah yes, j-gar and/or joni from the block. that still makes me laugh. another fellow FSU alumni and close friend from college. my roommate freshman year turned out to be her sophomore roommate. small world! we started our friendship in a fun little college class, all about living healthy (geeze, i can't even remember the name of that class now). we're both a little nutty about exercise and eating healthy. she's the only person in her late 20s who has a bedtime and is the worst person to go camping with...unless you like burnt hot dogs. she's a great friend and j-gar, i'm honored to have you in my wedding.

bridesmaid...lorie bernhard
l-train and my little alful sister (sorry for all the inside/sorority jokes that no one but these girls get). she is the most organized, on-top of things girl i have ever met, along with one of the most creative. lorie has been a great friend of mine since sophomore year of college when she joined the sorority. she has given me wonderful advice over these last few months and i'm honored to have you in my wedding. by they way, lorie's marrying her college sweetheart in june!

bridesmaid...bethany majka
bethany joined our "crew" a little late, but we made up for it by spending as much time together before everyone graduated and left town. i know i can always count on her for fashion tips and relationship advice. she's an independent lady and fellow target lover. i am so happy you joined our close group of friends, beth, and am honored to have you in my wedding.

flower girl...sophia munro
sophia is luke's 3-year old niece and a firecracker of a little girl. she even has the red hair to prove it! she is one of the smartest 3-year-olds i've ever met and i love that she's our little flower girl.
